Merry Christmas

The holidays have been INSANE. I have hardly had time to catch my breath with all life has been handing out. And as I sit down to finally make one holiday blog post I hear the baby in the other room waking up from her nap- so this will be short! Between the chaos I did find us downtown in Christmas colors one afternoon and I happened to have my camera in the car so I took a few shots if the kiddos. Here's to an amazing 2015 and lots of new beginnings!

NEW LENS!

Was so excited to get a new lens this past week! So much to love so much to learn! The photos are so sharp  and vibrant out the gate- but with that sharpness means the slightest missed focus is that much more apparent - so there is no room for error! And using your feet to zoom takes a little getting used to at first but is more natural once you get the hang of it- you can't zoom your eye balls with a button- you move your feet! haha!

Anyway! Took my family out to Alpine Groves to test it out! Love this location! And love the people in these photos!! I'll give you one guess as to which of my kiddos is the ham and which runs from the camera ;)

Happy First Birthday Baby C!!

Ahh this photography thing is such a learning process lol! Originally I went to do a cake smash photo shoot for this sweet baby lady at her house. However I am learning indoor light is not my friend at this stage in the game. Those pictures will stay locked away on my computer ;) With more practice and the proper equipment I hope to one day master it- but for now - I'm officially sticking to outdoor light! So after we made a mess with some cake we headed to the beach and took a few pictures there! Much better ;)

These girls are fierce and fun and just all around lovely! And of course HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY to this brown eyed beauty!! (How did this year pass by so fast?!?)
